I Love To See The Temple!
It's not Christmas in Utah without a trip to Temple Square. We haven't been in several years and decided last night was a good night to go! We got all bundled up, grabbed our cameras and were on our way! Here are some of the festivities.

For Those Keeping Score
I have an update in regards to the water heater at work (I know everyone has been sitting on pins and needles waiting for this after all). Monday the bid guy from last week and his boss show up with a sparkly new water heater (forgot to mention before that I still have the one from dumb and dumber sitting in my bathroom. What should one do about that?) I start holding my breathe as they start up the ladder. Voila! They got INTO the access door! I am pretty sure the old water heater was welded in there (it took a lot of grunting and moving), but after an hour the disgusting piece of metal is free!
Total time for a water heater replacement was 1 hour 22 minutes 17 seconds (I know its sad that I know this). They clean up all the dusty, dirty mess they made (including vacuuming... I was quite impressed). As they are leaving they tell me that in about an hour everything should be circulated and I should have hot water. Score! I HATE HATE HATE Snow!
Did I mention I hate snow? Well okay, that is a little unfair... I only hate it in an "I have to drive out in it, amongst the idiots who don't know how to drive in it, and attempt to get to work."

Even a Cookie Quiz Says I'm High Maintenance!
"You are undoubtedly Candy-Stripe Cookie Sticks. You're a little complicated and possibly high maintenance, but well worth it."
People say that I can be high maintenance, and I get that sometimes I can be. I'm just a little worried that a cookie quiz reveals this about me (and just for the record, I didn't choose diamonds on question 4)! At least I'm "well worth it."

How Many Men Does It Take To Install A Water Heater?
Three.... so far!
We have no hot water at work. Sad day, I know. Cam has been proactive in calling all of our maintenance requests into our corporate office. Well, we have been working on getting the water heater replaced for three weeks now:
Week #1: Two men from We Think We're Cool Inc. come out. They climb into the access door to assess the project, they develop a bid on the job and pass it on to corporate. Corporate approves it- Yay!
Week #2- The lady from corporate calls (we'll call her Betsy) and informs us that they should have already been out to fix the water heater (it has been approved for 5 days now). Have we seen them? NOPE! Betsy is going to call the "fruitcakes" (her exact words) and get them out here.... Finally on Friday Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber show up. They climb up the ladder to the access hole (you know, the one that they were in in week #1) but apparently this week they can't actually get in it. So they sit and discuss for 40 minutes on how they can accomplish installing the water heater without falling through the ceiling. Cam and I are confused, since obviously there was no problem the week prior when they came out for the bid. We watched them get in just fine! Then they start talking crazy and want to put a hole in our bathroom to go up to the water heater. Say what now? They end up leaving to figure out how they are going to do their job. Well, by this time Tayla has come in for her shift. What do the three of us do since no one is in the store shopping? Yup, we get the ladder back out to assess the situation. Want to know what we find? That the water heater is maybe, MAYBE a full 6 inches from the door. You could install a new one while still on the ladder. We don't stand for idiots like that! So Cam gets back on the phone and leaves corporate a message to bag the drama queens and get some out here who will actually do the job!
Week #3- I get a call this morning from a new guy who is going to come and make a bid. Too bad for the first schmucks, eh? Well hopefully he turns out to be competent. If not, does anyone know where we can find Water Heater Installation for Dummies?

Whoa Buddy! That's a Big No No!
So I had to get money to do my laundry. I went to the bank across the mall to the ATM. Well, it's being serviced so I couldn't use it and trying to go through the drive-thru is a pain in the royal butt! So I had two choices 1. Go to another branch(which is just SO out of the way!) or 2.Gird up my loins and tackle Target(to buy some stupid thing like a pack of gum to get cash back).
So guess which option I chose? Anyone? WRONG! Convenience won out, who would've thought?
After several minutes of pep talk, and musings on the likelihood of seeing someone I knew, I braced myself to walk into Target. Picture it: Not showered for the day, still in pajamas (green plaid cropped pants and a purple hoodie...all my "normal" pajamas were in the aforementioned dirty laundry), hair not even combed(kind of patted down for a quick car drive...but certainly not public worthy), cowlick hanging up the back, my lovely fashion accessory of a shoe (see here for explanation of that), complete with a black sock under the ace bandage... Oh! And bra-less!
So I steal Jana's hair elastic, and leave her in the car as I hobble into Target in all my glory! After a quick unsuccessful search for chocolate oranges I head to the check out. As I'm standing in line waiting for the douche of a lady in front me to hurry her feebleness along I realize my non-broken leg has hair peeking out(I had shaved my "broken" leg last week for the trip to the ER. You don't know what good looking Doctors/X-ray Techs/Janitors will be roaming the hallways). And it's full on making it's self known to any customer with in a five mile radius.
Anyway, as I'm hobbling out of the store Jana text's me and asks if I got kidnapped. I replied with, "Yes, Goodwill picked me up for looking homeless." Not a proud moment indeed!
