Picture It....

The sun beating down on her face, beads of perspiration trickling down her cheek, the Rocky theme song plays in the background as she crosses the finish line....

....okay really I'm just sitting in my bed eating Warm Delights (future post for sure-yummy!) Either way you put it, I did it! I posted for 30 days straight!!! Go me! (And you for putting up with it!)

Fashionable Footwear

So, every other crazy person in America was out shopping on Black Friday and I decided to look for some great deals as well! I've had my eye on some boots at Bass, but I must say they do not hold a candle to the fabulous shoe I got! Now, before you continue to read you have to check all jealousy and envy at the door! This bad boy is exclusive!!!

Now, I know what you are all thinking, but no I will not share. Well, I can't really for the next 7-10 days. You can be put on the waiting list for after that though!

But really, I am a klutz! I was coming down the stairs on my way to work yesterday afternoon and skipped the bottom step (on accident) and my foot collapsed! It's not broken, but I sprained the bottom of my freaking foot! I mean, COME ON! It's not even a normal spot! So I get to wear this LOVELY shoe for the next week or so! What did I get myself into?

Two People Can Handle It, Right?

I work at midnight tonight (STUPID MALL)! I do not want to work tonight. I have two girls working with me because Nicolyn is fabulous and allowed her people to help out in my store! I think I am going to go unlock the door and then come back home and go back to bed. I need some sleep... BAD!

I also just wanted to say thank you to my family and friends. I love you all so very much!

Sue Me

So I didn't actually post this on 11/26/08... you can sue me...

I went to a bridal shower last night after work, then hung out with friends from high school. When I got home I had to start my yumminess for Thanksgiving, half of which I subsequently ruined and had no patience to start over in the middle of last night. So this morning I had to go to the store to replace all my supplies, and start Thanksgiving prep over. So now I have two spare seconds to give you a "Wednesday" post. Thank heavens for post-dating, right?

Prosecutors Will Be Violated

I love how when you are younger, you say the funniest things! You think you are so original and so intelligent but in reality, you are just a doof!

I was recently reminded of an experience when I was 14. My family and I just moved into a new house. I wanted my room to be MY space. You know, keep my stinky brother out. So I came up with this genius idea to make a sign and put it on my bedroom door. It said "NO TRESPASSING!! Prosecutors will be violated".

Just to be clear, I didn't mean to put that! That's just what I ended up with. I didn't realize it was wrong until my parents saw it! Like I said.. a doof!

Sassafras

Wouldn't it be great if every intense situation could start with the other person saying, "First off, look at the sassiness you got going on here"? It sure puts me at ease! Plus it gives me cause to buy new outfits!!

Oh Flap I Meant To Snap It

We played games at my parents house tonight, and I think that this is going to become an every Sunday thing. Playing games with my family is a hoot! Minus a few diva moments it was a grand ol' time!

I feel the need to include this thought into this post: Canasta is an under appreciated game! My sister Jenny and I are the only people left in this world that love this game, I'm pretty sure of it! Therefore we have deemed this "our game". Only the two of us get to play it. Too bad for the rest of you because it the bomb...wait for it... diggity!

Even if You Are Not Given the Choice of "Take it, or Leave it", Just Take It!

I went to a Pampered Chef party tonight... and I found the secret to make these worthwhile! Take a friend who is willing to clear out the pan of dessert to take with you when you leave. (Thanks Suz)!

And for any of you who are unfulfilled by those two sentences, here is my version of the yummy yummy dessert (the one that we stole):

*Prepare a boxed brownie mix.
*Throw a bunch of chocolate chips in there, I think brown sugar too... but maybe not.
*Bake it around 400 degrees, for however long you feel like (or if your not feeling daring you can follow the directions on the box, your choice).
*Melt any leftover chocolate chips you may have that you did not snack on while the brownies baked.
*Drizzle them in fun designs over your brownies (boring designs work as well).
*Place Rolo's on top of your concoction so it melts in caramely goodness.
*Sprinkle brown sugar over the top for added pizazz.

Disclaimer: This is not an "official" Pampered Chef recipe... just my take on one.

Another Confession

I LOVE Alvin and the Chipmunks! They were my favorite cartoon as a kid. I even made my little brother and sister sing and act out the opening credits with me! Well I don't sing the credits anymore, but I do collect all the nifty DVD collections they put out of old episodes. And it made my day today when I was at the store and they had Alvin and the Chipmunks Thanksgiving! Woot! Can't wait!

I mean, really, whats not to love about these little guys?

My List of Things That Must Go!

*People who are not capable of ordering their meals at restaurants we have to stand in line for. Or the drive-thru for that matter!

*Cheap gift clients.. I'm sorry your feel that your daughter/ daughter- in- law is only worth a $10 tacky shirt! If you want that, go to Walmart! We don't sell those here!

*When a cashier tells you what to do with the debit pin pad when being rung up. I know some people require an explanation, but I am certainly not one of them! I learned how to read.

*My dirty car. Can't it just stay clean on it's own?

*People who call you only when they need something, not because they care!

*When you are driving up a hill and the putz in front of you decides to slam on his brakes for no apparent reason. HELLO! We're going up a hill.. we need the speed!

*Hormonal DHL drivers that have more mood swings than a woman going through "the change"!

Confession

I have a confession to make. I am a compulsive necklace breaker! Every time I wear one, I break it! Even if I make it through a full day at work, I'll inevitably break it in my car on my way home! I am just that good!

This has not taught me anything though. I continue to buy them regularly! I'll study it, give it a couple of tugs, and even check the density of the chain before purchasing. If it makes it through my test, it must be indestructible.. right? WRONG! I truly amaze myself!

Good thing I have friends that are compulsive necklace fixers!

Now I tag you 5 lucky ducks (Suz and Natalie I know you have already been tagged, but it just means you ESPECIALLY have to do this).

... The filling inside See's Pecan Rolls

Smoking in a Winter Wonderland

So here is my story. I warned you, I will sound like a brat, but I guess the jig is up! Yesterday was the first big snow fall in Utah. It made for a rough commute, which made for a somewhat grouchy start to my morning. I get up to work (for those of you that do not know, I work up in Park City) and just as I pull into the parking lot, an employee from the neighboring store came out for a morning cigarette. Right as he was lighting up, a big pile of snow slid off the roof of the building and fell right on him. I couldn't help but burst out laughing. I had to hide myself in my car until I was composed enough to walk into work. Thankfully when I got out of my car, he had given up on that cigarette and went back inside.
However, when I came back from getting my mail a few minutes later, he was once again outside trying to get in his morning nicotine. This time he had learned his lesson. He was standing in the middle of the parking lot, no where near any roofs!

Working in a Winter Wonderland

So I had a story to go along with this pic, but decided it made me sound like a brat (which for the record, I am.. but I like to keep up appearances) so I decided to nix the story. I enjoyed the picture so much that I'm still going to share it.

Electrophobia

I came to a realization today. I have electrophobia. This is fear of electric shock. How did I come to this conclusion after 24 years you may be wondering (and if you're not.. you should be). I went to help my dad jump his car, and realized that this simple act scares the CRAP out of me!! And it always has!

But just so you know, I am willing to help! I'll bring my car.. I'll even push the gas pedal! Just PLEASE, PLEASE don't ask me to touch the jumper cables!

What phobias do you have?

Hip Hip HOORAY!

For all of you who care (and for all of you poor suckers who don't) this is a picture of my parent's new house!! YAY!!!!!

Contrary to what this picture shows, they are in fact ecstatic about getting this house!

Day Two(ish)

Random thought that has been on my mind forever:

If a gas tank's automated machine ASKS if you want a receipt, why is there always a collection of unclaimed receipts piling up behind the little door? Maybe I'm old fashioned or something, but if I say yes that I want a receipt, I actually make the effort to take that receipt. Could just be me.

Look At Me, I'm Already A Day Behind

So this is me, always late. It's National Blogging Something-Or-Other Month, and typical me, I'm slow on the get go. I have decided that it is physically impossible for me to be on time... for ANYTHING. I read a magazine article a month ago that stated that this meant that I was lazy, and had no respect for others. I debate this reasoning. I am positive that there is a disease out there, Chronic Unpunctuality Disorder maybe? Or the author of that article was right... you can decide.
